Forages are highly necessary for raising ruminants. Ruminants are also necessary for managing forages. Knowing what you have, your soil, how to manage your pastures, producing stored feeds, and looking into regenerative agriculture are all important, and all will be covered here. Growing Forages Require Managed Ruminants
Forages are the backbone of raising ruminants. Whether for grazing or to be raised as stored feeds, they’re important to have and manage. However, it’s important to know what you have to be able to manage them. This includes the “undesirables,” known as weeds and poisonous plants.
Not only that, you cannot manage what you don’t measure. Having a toolkit where you can know whether or not you’re doing the right thing is super helpful. Part of that toolkit is understanding some of the more “unconventional” means of land–and people and finances–management in a holistic context.
